2004 Tahoe Door Key Lock Not Working

I checked fuses in the interior fuse box and all fuses dealing with door lock are not working but not blown.

For vehicles equipped with door lock cylinders the door can still be opened using the key. But cannot get the on off on off while holding the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob to work. Get into the vehicle from another door if the door you are working on will not let you enter the vehicle. It only happens to back doors and whenever it is hot outside in phx is all the time.

The relay seems to be working for the door locks when i hit the remote but the locks do not respond and the fuse is still good for the door lock. This is driving me crazy. The locks cyc. I replaced the power window mirror door lock switch on my 2009 tahoe.

The only button that works is the driver side window. The problem turned out to be that the fuse for my cigarette lighter was bad and for some reason it also must be working in order for the door locks to work. Both my remote entry fobs for my 2004 silverado quit working at the same time. The door locks on my 1999 tahoe stopped working and i checked the fuse which was fine.

Open the door with the broken or damaged actuator from the inside of the vehicle. Rule out the door lock. Have to manually unlock door from inside. At this point you ll want to check and make sure that your physical key or emergency valet key is able to work the locks.

However vehicles without door lock cylinders will not be able to lock or unlock the doors until power is restored. The door locks on my 1999 tahoe stopped working and i checked the fuse which was fine. For vehicles with traditional style door lock cylinders and keys a bad power door lock relay will merely disable the power door lock feature. When tahoe parked outside depending on what side of vehicle is being hit by the sun the back doors will not unlock with key fob or door lock buttons.

Put in a new cigarette lighter fuse and the door locks worked again. I replaced the power window mirror door lock switch on my 2009 tahoe. Try operating the door lock switch to rule out the idea that the door lock is not working.
