2000 Ford F150 Door Locks Not Working

They do not respond to the remote.

Specifically when i press the button to unlock or lock the doors the locks don t respond either way. The power door locks dont work at all i have to use my key. Is that the most logical thing or is there something else i can try first. Read that it might be an actuator problem not sure i can fix this.

Checked the batteries in the key fobs checked the fuses checked the car battery. This happens with both doors and both buttons. The automatic door locks do not work. Its a real hassel.
